The costume I made of GLaDOS from "Portal" for Halloween + future cons. Would appreciate credit if anyone uses my ideas.

Very proud! It was a huge hit, even with people who had NO idea who I was. ;D I received compliments for a week, hahaha. I started playing around with the idea over the summer, and by FanExpo knew I wanted to do it. Went for a mod-ish style, since she is primarily black and white aaand I am not talented enough to make anything resembling how GLaDOS actually looks lol. Very excited to wear this to FanExpo!
Clockwise starting at 12 o'clock: - Back view, photo cred: Hana - Myself and Chris as Deadpool (ordered his suit online and we made the belts together) - Close up of the cores, photo cred: Hana <3 - Sorry, this is the only photo I have with the gloves, and it's in the washroom! XD
The dress was a pattern from Butterick; used "stained" bridal satin ($3 ftw!). Cores were made by me, with help from [link] (albeit if you try this yourself, make sure you do a test run first... The first I made was elongated and weird, so I had to alter my slices a bit). Gloves were from a costume store; used iron-on transfers for gloves and back. Bought the turtle neck, tights and shoes. Wig was an Airily wig from cosplay.com, which I had my hairdresser cut (super happy with the quality). Contacts I bought from FanExpo in Toronto- the booth/company slips my mind.
Just white face paint from a party store (it was terrible to work with and I would love to find something of better quality... There was like, minimal blending you could do and it came off really easily), white talcum power to set it and then some white glitter to top it off. XD I somehow managed a pretty decent gradient.
Looks more or less what I'd want for Data xD I found some nice clown paint online for relatively cheap; Was going to invest in that, haha. And glitter.. SO LONG AS I don't look like twilight.
Haha, yeah- we had fun arguing who would win in a fight.
HMMMMM,
oh yeah,GLaDOS is a gangsta,lul
And lots of liquid black eyeliner!
Mehron; for the paint, btw. =]
